CyberData V2 Paging Amplifier

CyberData V2 Paging Amplifier is a new SIP-enabled VoIP product offered for the purpose of catering to both new and legacy installations. This product is an easy way of implementing any IP-based overhead paging system in these installations. The amplifier is known for supporting line-out connectors for connection to external devices, and also offers standard Horn speaker direct drive.

All the interfaces comply with the SIP RFC 3261 based upon the compatibility with SIP-based IP PBX. The CyberData Paging Amplifier can work in non-SIP environments because of the special configurations done to paging zones through port number combinations and listen to multicast address. Separate purchase has to be made for loudspeaker, which is available in model part #011068.

Two SIP extensions can be supported by the CyberData VoIP V2 Paging Amplifier. Auto answer paging can be done by assigning one extension to a page group. ‘First-to-Answer’ ring group with IP phones can be assigned with a second extension. When the second SIP extension of the ceiling speaker is dialed, the audio ring file becomes activated.

Moreover, the Paging Amplifier stops ringing in case of answering of any IP phones in the ring group. This happens even when the caller hangs up. Other features comprise DTMF controlled relay, direct 8 Ohm speaker drive, digital and manual volume control and second SIP endpoint ‘Night Ringer’. The device is powered by dual-speed Ethernet 10/100 Mbps, while the PoE is 802.3at and 802.3af enabled.

The CyberData V2 Paging Amplifier makes it possible to auto-call voice message from input port sense, and is open to user-uploaded messages and tones. Furthermore, it can support two horn speakers in parallel, while being configured on the web. Audio messages can be uploaded onto the Paging Amplifier by the user. The ‘sense-in’ activation sounds the stored audio file, which in turn keeps on playing on the loud speaker until the condition is cleared.
